Just a quick note about November appointment openings-

Snow Dates! 2010/2011 - Dover, Ohio photographer

It's November in Ohio, which only means one thing: snow is upon us. It's the perfect time for me to introduce Snow Dates! to you. Snowy photos are gorgeous and just thinking of all of the possibilities makes me kind of (dare I say it) excited for some snow! Hats, colorful scarfs, layers and layers of clothes and a glistening white background with snow-topped trees...this all makes for some amazing photos that you cannot get in a studio.

Snow sessions are a little difficult to plan in advance so here's the deal: I keep a Snow Dates! list in the order of registration. When enough snowfall is imminent, I call you to see if you are available for a Snow Date with me. From there, we set up a time and place, usually in the next 24 hours. If you aren't available, I keep going down the list. I will try to squeeze as many appointments as I can into a "snow period" but if you don't get in, don't worry. We live in Ohio. There will be plenty more snow.

Snow dates last from 30-60 minutes and are priced at the regular one hour session price point. So bring hot chocolate, throw snowballs, bring sleds or even ice skates! I am ready for some fun in the sun snow! All you have to do now is call, text, email or leave me a message on Facebook and tell me you want on the list! Remember, the sooner you get on the list, the better chance you have at being at the top which equals first pick for times!

Kellie & Robert - Dover, Ohio Engagement/Wedding Photographer

Another update! Look at me go. I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session for these two a few weeks ago and I must say, it was a blast. Robert was actually happy to be there and cooperative - even suggesting spots sometimes! Take note, grooms! It's not hard to see the love these two have for eachother. I think they really enjoyed the fact that I made them kiss over and over for the entire session.

I am so so so excited to shoot their wedding this July! Enjoy the planning, guys - it goes sooo fast.

Long time no blog! My lack of blog posts for the month of October is very reflective of the month I have had. T Luc photography and design had an insane month of photo shoots and TONS of fun! I can't wait to for you to see what we've been up to - as a matter of fact, check out the website for lots of new images in the senior and kids section and look for the wedding and engagements album launch soon! Don't forget, if you missed us at the Dover Halloween Parade, you can still get the same FREE 8x10 that everyone there did by booking a session by Sunday, 10/31/10. Bellies Sneak Peek! -Dover, OH maternity photography

Maternity photos are always so fun to do! They are such a wonderful keepsake to have after the baby gets here and you are covered in, well...stuff, and you can go back and look at photos that remind you of the anticipation and excitement. I had a blast shooting Kelly today and cannot wait to meet her little girl. Here are a few sneak peeks from her session:

Appointment Openings - FYI - Dover, OH photographer

Before the craziness that is about to be October, I thought I might post a little note on here about scheduling appointments. Weekend appointments in October are almost booked. I do still have some availability during the week in the morning and evenings (may be limited due to daylight shortage...it's that time already!). As far as holiday photos go, the deadline is November 20th to ensure delivery in time for cards. Like I said in the last post, there are still some spots left in the November 16th Snappies as well! I know it sucks to think about the holidays coming so fast but I don't want anyone to miss out! I am so excited for what the next month has to offer. Lots of senior sessions, kids and weddings! You don't want to miss this! Stay tuned!

The NEW T Luc photography + design!

Welcome to the new T Luc photography + design! We have completely redesigned ourselves in anticipation for the new website launch! Minimalist is the theme, in hopes that the work does the talking. I believe that photography shouldn't drain bank accounts. Everyone should be able to have beautiful photos to display their memories without having to succomb to crowded, noisy, stressful big box photography studios. People are most comfortable in an environment they know, especially children. I never understood why it was the "norm" to drag kids to these places - until I visited one. Of course they are cheap, IF you don't want anything fancy. I asked once if I could have a specific image in black and white, or if they could remove the newborn scratches on my son's face. Sure. But it will cost you!

I strive to make sure every client is comfortable. I retouch EVERY acceptable image without making everyone look like plastic. I shoot on-location for beautiful variety. Your holiday cards will NOT have the same backdrop as everyone else.

The website is a work in progress where images will be added as we go, so take a look around by clicking HERE. I have had the priveledge of working with so many wonderful people in the past few months and I am looking forward to appointments I have coming up! Speaking of...October is officially almost completely booked and starting to spill into November! The deadline for holiday photos is November 20th to ensure delivery in time to get your cards out - also, there are still some spots open for the holiday "Snappy Session" on November 13th - only $30 and includes a print package!

Sneak Peek!

I decided to go ahead and launch the new blog design - which in turn gives everyone a little sneak peek at what's in store for the new website! I am so excited for you all to see the website, but it is not quite done yet. Hopefully, it will be ready to roll by Thursday or Friday so stay tuned!

Senior Sneak Peek! - Dover/New Philadelphia, Ohio photographer

Hey hey! On Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting Ashton's senior photos and swear I want to post every single one here because GORGEOUS! But, I have to save some for the website launch this week! We did some studio shots, followed with the softball fields and then downtown Dover. What an amazing mixture that is! Ashton has the best of both worlds - athletics and beauty! There are a couple shots where I could have sworn I was editing Reese Witherspoon shots. Check out these two!

One surprisingly mild day in July, I was lucky enough to get to do a session for Emily. Emily's mom is expecting another beautiful daughter and wanted to have some photos done of Emily before the new baby arrives. Emily wasn't thrilled with the idea in the beginning, but I think she ended up having fun in the end. And the results? See for yourself!

Booo-what?!

That's it. I'm sure you've heard the buzz. Maybe not. If you haven't, let me inform you. A 'boudoir' is a lady's private bedroom. The one place where she can perhaps be herself. Let her inner beauty [and outer] show without thinking twice. This may be where she feels her sexiest.

In recent years, boudoir photography has gained momentum, particularily in the bridal market. Many brides will have boudoir photography done to put an album together for their soon-to-be husbands as a wedding gift. I, for one, do not think this is the ONLY instance in which this can be done. Why not celebrate yourself? You don't need an excuse. Or maybe you do. I am sure you won't have to look far to find one though. Recent weight loss? Anniversary? Birthday? Father's Day? Christmas? Valentine's Day? 4th of July? Hey! These are sure to create some fireworks!

Boudoir photographs are what YOU make of them. Maybe flannel night gowns do it for you. Go for it! Sexy is in the eye of the beholder. Every outcome is different. These are all about you.

One Year Old - Sneak Peek

I had the pleasure of shooting Miss Finley's photos for her first birthday! We had so much fun playing outside in the gorgeous sunshine [and we got some great images as well!] Here is one of my favorites:

It just so happens that I like to take pictures. I like it so much in fact, that I decided that instead of taking my son to a big box studio just to be able to look at [what seemed like] the same photo - only he was bigger and wearing different clothes- that I would just start taking the photos myself. Same pose, backgrounds, etc. I mean, there is only so much you can do with that. I took him outside, inside, sun, snow, outfit changes, etc etc etc. It was challenging sometimes because I was the only one working with him so I had to serve as the photographer and the toy-dangler. Turns out, I did okay. So 'okay' that people started asking me to take their children's photos. It snowballed from there and my little hobby expanded. I love photography. Further, I love modern, photojournalistic photography. I believe the best smiles are captured when they aren't asked for.

So here I am, about to embark on the busiest summer of my life. Why not add to the mix? Right now, I need your help (click to enlarge):
